The Asian Congress of Nutrition welcomes the submission of unpublished, original research and/or secondary analysis of data in the form of abstracts for presentation at ACN 2023 which will be held September 14th-17th, 2023 in Chengdu, China.

Abstract submission opens: September 1st, 2022

Abstract submission closes: April 30th, 2023

Abstract acceptance notification: June 1st, 2023

Please note: the deadline for submitting abstracts for the ACN 2023 conference, originally scheduled for 28th Feburary 2023, has been extended and the new deadline is 30th April 2023.

General Guidelines

1. Abstract submissions must include unpublished, original research and be submitted through the ACN 2023 Abstract Submission website.

    Please note: abstracts sent by fax, email, or post will not be accepted.

2. All abstracts must be submitted in English with accurate grammar and spelling suitable for publication.

3. To give as many attendees as possible the chance to present their work at ACN 2023, the number of submissions per presenting author is limited to one submission in total. The presenting authors are those who will present the abstract in oral or poster form at ACN 2023 and must register for the conference. The number of co-authors is limited to 10 per abstract.

4. The word limit for the abstract, excluding title and author details, is 300 words. Submissions should adhere to the format detailed below (including headings) as closely as possible.

5. The presenting author will be notified by email regarding abstract acceptance on June 1st, 2023 and abstract programming details (abstract presentation number, presentation type, date, time, location) will be provided by July 30th.

6. Registration Fee/travel costs: Presenting authors must register for the conference and are responsible for all travel expenses (airfare, food, hotel, etc.) associated with presenting at the conference. No abstract submission fee is required.

Title: The abstract title should be short and specific. The abstract title has a 20-word limit.

Preferred presentation type: Presenting authors can indicate their interest in a preferred presentation type for the abstract. These include:

  • Poster
  • Oral

Headings required for abstract submission

Background and objectives

State the primary purpose of the study, including the main research questions or hypotheses being addressed, emphasizing what is innovative about this research.

Methods

Provide a clear, concise description of specific methods. Quantitative studies should include the design, participants, measures, and analyses. Qualitative studies should include a reference to the approach being adopted (e.g., discourse analysis, grounded theory) and describe the method of data generation, (e.g., interviews, transcripts of conversations, written accounts). Reviews should include details of the procedures adopted (e.g., literature search, inclusion/exclusion criteria, and methods of analysis). Please be aware that we prioritize meta-analyses over systematic and umbrella reviews. All studies should include details of the measures and analyses used.

Results

Report the most important findings, including the results of statistical analyses. Quantitative studies should include a summary of the results, which should contain numerical data. Qualitative studies should include an indication of the main results of the analysis (e.g., examples of themes, categories, responses, and discourses to be reported). Reviews should include a summary of the main findings.

Conclusions

Summarize in 1 or 2 sentences the primary contribution of the study, including the potential significance to the field.

Keywords

Up to 5 keywords may be selected.

Conflict of interest

Please declare any potential or direct conflict of interest if there is any.


IMPORTANT: There is a 300-word limit for each individual abstract.



Publication

Abstract submitters may choose to pay $25 for each abstract publication. Abstracts for the conference will be published as “conference report” under the Proceeding Journal of MDPI. Additionally, abstract submitters may choose to submit the full manuscript to Nutrients. All conference attendees will enjoy 15% off from the submission fee to Nutrients.
